Launch on Encore

Everything you need to set up, move your fans and get paid. About 23 minutes to read; each part links to the screen where you do it.

1. Your first hour

Everything below takes about an hour, most of it waiting for the identity check. Do it in this order: each step unlocks the next.

  1. Turn on two-factor authentication
Required for creators and team members. Add a passkey too: it signs you in with your face, fingerprint or device PIN and cannot be phished.
  2. Create your creator profile with your invite code
Choose the handle fans will type to find you.
  3. Verify your identity
Done by our identity vendor. We keep only the result and your encrypted legal name, never your documents.
  4. Set prices, or import them
A free tier plus up to 3 paid tiers, with optional 3/6/12-month bundles.
  5. Write a bio and pick a safe-for-work cover
The cover is the only image shown before someone follows you, and the only one used in the catalog.
  6. Set a welcome message
Sent automatically to new followers and labelled “automatic” for them.
  7. Add payout details
Needs a fresh 2FA code, then a 48-hour pause with an e-mail you can cancel from.

2. Moving your fans over

The Move my fans page walks you through the switch. Fans you bring yourself are charged our lower rate (12%), so every link you share is worth using.

  • Keep your take-home. Paste your current prices and choose “keep my take-home”: we lower each price so you earn the same per fan as on a 20% platform, rounded to a .99 price.
  • One tracking link per channel. X, Instagram, Reddit, TikTok, Telegram, your link-in-bio and your mailing list each get their own link, so analytics shows which one works.
  • Link-only launch discount. Optional: a discount for new fans that works only through those links and ends after the number of days you choose.
  • Announcement drafts. Ready to paste, within each network’s length limit. They never name other platforms, which some networks penalise.

Publish at least 5 posts before you announce: fans who arrive at an empty page do not stay.

3. Fees and getting paid

Founding creators0% for 90 days
Fans you bring12%
Fans Encore finds for you18%
  • A fan counts as yours if their first visit in the last 30 days came through your link or a direct visit, and stays yours once they pay.
  • Earnings unlock after 7 days (3 days once your account is 90 days old). In your first 180 days, 5% of each sale is held for 90 days as a reserve against chargebacks.
  • Payouts go out weekly once you have at least $20 available. Statements for your accountant are in Earnings.
  • We never hold a payout for more than 30 days without a legal reason we can name.

4. Posting and the content passport

  • Posts can be free, for a tier, or pay-per-view. Schedule them ahead from New post.
  • Every file gets a passport (photo or video, length, resolution, sound) that fans see before they pay. Fans know what they are buying, so there is less to dispute.
  • Anyone else who appears in your content must be verified and sign a release form before the post can go live.
  • New uploads are checked automatically, and a small share goes to a person even when nothing is flagged. Known abuse material is blocked, and a file removed after a non-consent report cannot be uploaded again by anyone.
  • Tag files in your Vault (private, never shown to fans) to find them later.
  • Add a poll to any post to let fans choose your next set. Fans who can see the post vote once; you see the counts, never who voted.

5. Messages, your team, mass messages and tips

Fans see who wrote every message: author for you, team for a team member, and a label for automatic messages. This cannot be changed after sending. Being honest about it is what earns trust, and your author reply rate is shown on your profile.

  • Give helpers their own team seat instead of your password. Seats have roles (chat, content, analytics, read-only finance) and can be revoked at any time.
  • Use Fans to build segments: top spenders, lapsed subscribers, people who ignored your last PPV, and more.
  • Mass messages go to a segment now or on a schedule. Up to 10 a day; fans can mute mass messages, and fans who already have a file are skipped automatically.
  • A scheduled mass message is checked again when it goes out: if a file was reported or the team member who wrote it lost their seat, it stops and tells you why.
  • Set a tip menu (fixed-price requests like a shoutout) and up to 3 goals with a progress bar on your page. Each request arrives in your inbox with the fan’s note.

6. Being found

The catalog is opt-in (switch it on in Profile). It shows only your safe-for-work cover and text. Fans who find you there pay the 18% rate; your own fans stay at 12%.

  • To be listed you need: a verified identity, an approved cover, at least one published post, and an account in good standing.
  • For your first 30 days in the catalog, one in every 4 places is reserved for new creators, rotated so everyone gets seen.
  • After that, ranking rewards posting regularly, replying yourself, and keeping subscribers, not paying for placement. Your views and clicks are in Profile.

7. Disputes and chargebacks

  • Fans can open a dispute within 7 days of a purchase. You have 48 hours to answer in Disputes; a moderator decides with the content passport in front of them.
  • When a confirmed technical problem stops a file from playing, the fan is refunded automatically.
  • If a bank reverses a charge anyway and your account is in good standing, the protection pool covers it.
  • Subscriptions pause automatically if you post nothing for 45 days, so fans are never billed for an empty page.

8. Stories, live streams and custom orders

  • Stories stay up for 24 hours after moderation, for all followers or for a tier and above. You see how many fans watched each one.
  • Live: go live for followers, a tier or ticket holders, with chat, tips and a goal. Connect OBS or a phone app with your stream key. Tickets are refunded automatically if a stream is cancelled or has not started 2 hours after its time.
  • Custom orders: set a minimum price and what you do and don’t do. The fan’s money waits in escrow; you have 72 hours to accept, and after you deliver, the fan has 3 days to approve or open a dispute. Silence counts as approval.

9. AI help in your inbox

  • In any chat, “Draft a reply with AI” writes a draft in your voice. You edit and send it yourself; the fan sees it labelled “AI-assisted”.
  • Automatic replies while you are away are off by default. When on, they are labelled “AI assistant”, say who they are, never sell anything and promise that you will answer yourself.
  • Fans can switch AI off in their chat with you; their messages are then never sent to it. Set it up in AI assist.

10. Instant payouts and referrals

  • Don’t want to wait for the weekly payout? Withdraw now for 1.5% (at least $0.50), from $20, to SEPA, US bank (RTP) or Paxum details.
  • Invite other creators with your referral link: you get 25% of our fee on their sales for 24 months. It comes from our fee, never from their earnings, and the terms are fixed the day they sign up.

11. Wishlist, other currencies and the Encore app

  • Add things you would like to your wishlist. Fans give an item whole or chip in; it reaches you like a tip, and you buy the item yourself, so nobody needs your address.
  • Fans see your prices in their own currency and can top up with PIX, iDEAL, BLIK, paysafecard or OXXO. Payouts over SEPA arrive in euros, converted with no markup.
  • If your page has no explicit content, you can declare it safe for work: it then also appears in the Encore app on the App Store and Google Play, where fans can follow you and read what they already have. They buy on the website.

12. Video calls, co-hosts, teams, advances and apps

  • Video calls: set a price per minute and the lengths fans can book. Fans pay into escrow and propose times; you pick one within 48 hours. Only you take calls, nothing is recorded, and the timer starts when you are both there. If you end early, the unused minutes go back to the fan; if the fan does not come, you keep half.
  • Invite up to 3 verified creators to co-host a live stream with their own camera. On a ticketed stream you can give them a share of tickets, together at most half; fans choose whom they tip.
  • Need help with chat or posts? Hire a verified team from the marketplace. You agree on its roles, its share (at most 50%) and its notice; its members get their own seats, fans see the team’s name on its messages, and Encore pays its share from your sales. You can end it at any time.
  • Once your account is 90 days old with steady earnings, Payouts may offer an advance from our lending partner: one flat fee, repaid as a share of your payouts. You have 14 days to change your mind without the fee, and you owe nothing if your earnings stop.
  • Connect scheduling and analytics tools in Connected apps. You see exactly what each one asks for; none can message your fans or move money, and you can disconnect any of them at once.

13. Replays, group sessions, copyright notices and phone notifications

  • Record a stream for a replay: the same people can watch it for 30 days. Co-hosts agree before they join and can take their camera out at any time; you can delete the replay sooner. Chat is not kept.
  • Run a group session: pick a time and sell 2 to 8 seats. Each fan sees and hears only you; you hear everyone. Seats wait in escrow; if you end early, fans get the unused minutes back, and if you do not come, everyone is refunded.
  • If someone says your post copies their work, Protection shows who claimed what. If the claim is wrong, send a counter-notice: the post comes back after 14 days unless they go to court. Removals that stand count against your account; 3 in a year mean a review of the account.
  • A safe-for-work page has to stay that way. Moderators can take the label away under a published rule (you can appeal), and the page then leaves the Encore app.
  • A team you hired can answer your review in public; your review stays as you wrote it.
  • In the Encore app, turn on notifications in Settings. They only say what kind of update is waiting, never names or titles, so your lock screen stays private.

14. Your safety, your rights and leak protection

  • Our rules are published in Policies. Every action against an account names the rule it is based on.
  • Actions follow a ladder: a warning, removing content, restricting one thing (for example messaging), a temporary read-only period, and only then closing an account, which needs a second moderator.
  • You can appeal any decision; a different moderator answers within 72 hours.
  • If your content is posted without your consent anywhere on Encore, use the takedown form: we remove it and every copy within 48 hours.
  • Photos carry each viewer’s name visibly and an invisible code that survives screenshots, resizing and re-compression; videos show the viewer’s ID in the player.
  • Protection searches the web for copies of your files every week, tells you which account a copy came from, sends takedown notices as your agent (without your legal name), and reports the account to us in one click.

15. Being a founding creator

  • Tell us what is missing or annoying with the Feedback button on any page (on a phone, the link at the bottom). You see our answer on your feedback page and get a notification when it ships.
  • We ship fixes every day during the beta; What’s new lists them. Now and then we ask one question: how likely you are to recommend Encore. It helps more than you think.
  • Founding terms stay yours: 90 days at 0%, then the standard 12/18 rates, with volume discounts as you grow.
